Artist statement

For visual sequential narrative, I am intrigued by the idea of a childhood story book. For this piece I would like to capture the idea of us removing pieces of our childhood and placing them into a memory book or photo album of sorts. I will accomplish this by a series of photos in which a hand is picking up certain parts of a picture, then a subsequent picture of that hand placing those bits of pictures into a book. The story I think this tells is one of nostalgia, and us wanting to hold on and relive the past, a topic that I believe is pretty universal.
